Meet Marie: Your Practical, People-First HR Partner
I’m Marie, founder of Popoki and a Chartered FCIPD with a Masters in HR Management. I’ve spent over 20 years in the people space, working across sport, media, tech, FMCG, healthcare, and start-up environments.
I’ve built HR from the ground up in scaling businesses. I’ve led through mergers, culture shifts, and major operational change.
Before launching Popoki, I held senior roles at Wasserman, Charlotte Tilbury, and Westgate Healthcare. I’ve also supported academy and professional footballers to build confidence, resilience, and life skills beyond the pitch.
I’m a qualified Mental Health First Aider and passionate about creating workplaces where people feel safe, valued, and ready to do great work.

Every business needs a calm presence. Ours just happens to be a blue exotic shorthair cat.
Popoki was born in September 2014 and has been perfecting the art of relaxation ever since. He prefers his days slow, his treats hand fed, and his steak medium rare. Zoomies are rare. Cuddles are not. He likes to stay close and is friendly to everyone he meets.
Lovable, low key, and quietly loyal, Popoki brings balance to busy days. He is the heart behind our name and a daily reminder of what it means to work with care and intention.
